Why the Quran summer program?

The program is for young children and teens age 5-14 ONLY, and it is meant to strengthen their Islamic morals and identity, Quran skills, and most importantly their ability to connect with each another.

Where and when will it take place?

The program will be held at the ICM daily from June/28 to July/02 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for age group 8-14 years old, and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm for age group 5-7 years old.

What activities will we have?

The following activities are planned enshallah: Tilawah, Quran stories, Quran memorization and explanation, Arts & funn activities, Sports, and more.

Daily Schedule:

Although changes may and will occur, we plan to follow the following schedule:

1. Level one [5-7 years old]:

  • 2:00 2:45 Quran class [memorization].
  • 2:45- 3:00 Snack time.
  • 3:00- 3:15 Salat Athuhr.
  • 3:15- 4:15 Art class.
  • 4:15- 5:15 Quranic story
  • 5:15- 6:00 outside time.


2. Level two [8-10 years old]:

  • 11:00 12: 00 Soccer or football class
  • 12:00 -12:30 Snack.
  • 12:30- 1:15 Quranic stories
  • 1:15- 2:15 Quran class [Surat Alwaqiah]. Tilawah
  • 2:15- 3:15 Guest speaker & Salat athuhr.
  • 3:15  4:00 Lunch time.
  • 4:00-5:00 scientific miracles in the Quran.
  • 5:00- 6:00 Art class.

3. Level three [ 11-14 years old]:

  • 11:00 -12:00 Quran class [Tilawah Surat Yaseen].
  • 12:-12:30 Snack.
  • 12:30-1:15 Quranic stories
  • 1:15-2:15 Soccer class or Football class.
  • 2:15- 3:15 Guest speaker & Salat Athuhr.
  • 3:15- 4:00 Lunch.
  • 4:00-5:00 scientific miracles in the Quran.
  • 5:00-6:00 Project.

What are the Rules and policies of the program??

  • Respect the Masjid, team mates, teachers, and belongings around you.
  • Listen to the person in charge.
  • Keep the Masjed, the classroom and the outside area clean.
  • Screaming, yelling, hitting, pushing and bad language are prohibited; Parents will be notified on first offense, second offense will result in dismissal for the rest of the day; third offense will results in termination.
  • Stay in the boundaries w/your team.
  • In case of emergency talk to the supervisor or to your teacher.
  • Each child MUST bring his/her own lunch.
  • Medical emergencies policy: It is the ICM policy to notify a parent when a child is need of medical attention. Occasionally we are unable to contact parents, and we need to get immediate help. Our procedure is to have the child taken to the nearest emergency service by ambulance. (Ambulance fee is the parent's responsibility.) If an ambulance is not available, a staff or volunteer of the ICM will transport the child.

How much does it cost?

One child/teen fee is $40. Two or more children from the same family fee is $75.


*Should a child be removed from the program a refund will NOT be provided

Who is in charge?

Sister Diaa Al-Omar is in charge of organizing and managing this program.

  • You understand that the ICM (which refers to the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro) is a non-profit organization. And that all of the ICM activities and services are not for profit services, managed jointly by paid and volunteer individuals. You further understand that one of the main conditions of admissions, volunteering and/or participation in any activity or service offered by the ICM or its committees or affiliates, including but not limited to this program, is that the total liability of the ICM and all its committees, affiliates, paid staff and volunteers, regardless of the circumstances and the issue, is limited to an amount not to exceed $500. You accept this condition, without any reservation.
  • You hereby give permission to ICM its staff and volunteers to make necessary transportation in case of medical emergency.
